About

Everyone is the narrator of their own story

Lisa Gaumond, LMHC, PhD is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara CA (2017). Lisa was also awarded a Master’s degree from Fielding’s department of Psychology (2010). She holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University (2004) and a certification in Mediation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2006). Post Graduate training includes EMDR (2024) With EMDR Institute faculty, Judy Cabeceiras; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as part of Lifespan/Gateway’s Enhanced Outpatient Services team (2016-2019). Additional studies were taken with The Institute of Narrative Psychology, Salem MA (2012, 2015). Lisa’s approach to therapy combines Evidenced-Based therapies with Narrative Techniques. Narrative Psychology separates the person from the problem by listening for detrimental beliefs and recurrent themes in the story of one’s life. This collaborative process affirms a person’s virtues and employees their strengths to repair their relationship with a problem.
